Turning our spare room into an office

When we have finally decided to turn that spare room into an office, we have several options. We may want to remove what was in the room before, but perhaps if it is not in the way, we might keep a table, or even a mattress in the room. To make the best use of the space, we should choose a desk and other furniture that will serve us well without limiting our options for that room. However, if we are planning on working from home we will need to make the space free from distractions.

Here are some choices for office accessories that will make the most out of our home office space.

This is a great option because it is a desk on wheels, meaning it can be easily moved from one place to another. The wheels lock in place when we need, so it creates a safe and stationary position. The platform is able to handle up to 22 pounds, free of wobbles, and very stable. The height is adjustable between 30 to 48 inches to allow both a standing and a seated option. This small size will fit in great if we decide to keep other furniture in the office room.

This option allows us to choose our own desktop, which gives us a lot of choices on style and size. The frame has an adjustable width between 39 to 63 inches. The motorized function will retain four memory settings and we can adjust the desk height between 28 to 48 inches. If we choose a smaller size topper for this set up we can probably have enough room for other furniture in this office design.

It is motorized to allow the height of the desk to be raised into an up to 48 inch standing station or lowered into as low as a 28 inch seated position. There is a four position memory to allow easy switching to our desired position. The larger 24 inch by 47 inch table top is water resistant. With a desk this large we will probably want to make the space dedicated to the office without a lot of other furniture to share the space.

A desk is not all we will need for our office space. This dual monitor stand is ideal for creating a maximum workspace. This has a universal desk mount, so no need for attaching to a wall or other support. It will rise and lower with any mobile, variable height desk. With the monitors able to stay above the desktop, we will maximize the free space available. This gives us more space for the computer itself and any peripherals like a printer.

This under desk tray is perfect for holding our keyboard and freeing up desktop space. It is 27 inches wide, which is more than enough for keyboard and mouse. This will fit on any desk that is at least 32 inches wide. The track mounted design slides the keyboard under the desk when not needed. This is perfect for any of the desks we may be considering.
