5 items to spark creativity in kids

With a little bit of help we can encourage kids to explore their creativity. All it take is the right spark for a kid to want to experiment and learn to create their own fun. With a few handy supplies we can have them making their own enjoyment instead of waiting for someone or something to provide entertainment.

Here are a few ideas that we can easily provide as a set up and then watch the kids take over and create their own version of play. Some of these are for outdoor and some are indoor items.

This is a great way to cool off in the heat and it can be set up anywhere the hose can reach. This Thirteen Chefs outdoor shower has a freestanding base. The height is adjustable so it can be set to the right size for the kids. It works off a standard hose connection and is easy to set up, which makes it possible for the kids to put it up themselves. Once set up, the aluminum body is safe to leave up or it can easily be taken down. Imagine the fun they can have running in and out from under this shower.

Attention all junior scientists, this pvc hose tubing is just what we need to see how to siphon water from one place to the next. The hose is food grade so no risk of contamination as they play with this. If there is a pool or pond, or even a bucket of water, they can learn the ways to move the water from one place to another with siphoning. Great way for them to see physics in action.
