I debated between this style and the U shaped one to comfort my growing pregnant body. I went with this one because it was a lightening deal. It comes compressed but expands quickly. I didn't notice any strange smells. The cover is soft. The pillow is thick. My usual pillow is a down alternative with gel. This pillow doesn't have nearly as much give. So this filling is not the same and I ended up not liking it as much when I was trying to sleep. That's not the pillows fault.My chiropractor recommended a pillow between my knees when I sleep to alleviate some of my hip/back pain, which is the reason I chose this type of pillow. I'm having trouble getting used to it. Again, not the pillows fault. It's not as easy when sleeping to adjust position when using this pillow. It also takes up a lot of space and the Sherpa throw I usually sleep under becomes too short with this.Sitting up in bed is nice with this. It folds in half and when combined with a pillow on top, it is comfy and provides arm rests. I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I'm not sure if I'd use the other style and don't plan to buy it to find out.I haven't laundered the cover yet, but I will update this review should something terrible happen when I do. I used a remote to show how thick it is.

My husband got me this pregnancy pillow as a Christmas present during my first pregnancy a few years ago. It was a lifesaver. I didn’t even know how bad I needed it. We had moved and gotten rid of it. I’m 20 weeks pregnant now and wanted to get a pillow again, but I couldn’t find this one when I originally looked on Amazon. I ended up buying another one that was around the same price and had really great reviews. I absolutely hated it and was in pain after using it. I returned that one and had my husband dig through his old Amazon purchases to find this one. I bought it and am so happy I did. It’s the perfect firmness for me. I don’t like super soft, puffy, cloud-like pillows. This one is definitely more on the firm side and gives good support, so I’d recommend if that’s your kind of pillow preference.

I’m not a big reviewer, and I am not pregnant but had back issues such that sleeping on my side without a pillow between my knees, or on my back without a pillow under my knees, was painful. And I always inevitably lost the pillow in the night.

I bought this pillow seven months ago. I was worried this pillow would take over the bed but it doesn’t at all (though we have a king). I was worried it’d it wouldn’t be soft or would prevent my partner and me from cuddling. It doesn’t! I sleep with the “spine” of the pillow along the edge of the bed so my partner can still easily cuddle. I love the c shape because I can sleep either direction equally comfortably but I don’t feel totally encased or trapped in the pillow. I sleep part of each night with my legs under the bottom curve (sleeping on my stomach) and can still use the top portion as a normal pillow comfortably. Over the last seven months anytime I have woken with pain in the night it has been because I stopped using the pillow on my legs temporarily and adjusting to use it again immediately has resolved my back pain.

I used to struggle to fall asleep from my back and neck pain and my partner complained I stole his pillows to use between my knees and now I have NO PAIN with this pillow.

The perfect thing about this pillow: it is large enough that it keeps you within it’s borders automatically so you don’t accidentally float out during the night. But it is not so large that you are stuck. I never have resented the pillow whereas I do often resent other objects in my bed (like my dog). I love it. It is soft. Mine at least seems to have a slightly more puffy half and a less puffy half so I keep the less puffy half for my sensitive (to too-tall pillows) neck. My only criticism of this pillow is that I prefer to sleep with down pillows so I wish the neck portion either could be switched out with a down insert, or could be removed to allow me to use my own down pillow for my neck.

Temperature was also a big concern for me because I am both a VERY hot sleeper and occasionally a freezing cold sleeper. I have found that the pillow does not make me hotter at all, in fact, by keeping my legs from touching it helps me to keep cool, but when I am cold, curling up in it definitely helps to keep me warm.

Overall, definitely a 5 star pillow, I’m really glad I got a C shape rather than the bigger U options that I think would have felt a little claustrophobic and prevented cuddling. And I just wish it came with optional covers since I have a black dog who sheds! I also would buy multiple covers if available like a micro fleece winter cuddle option and a silkier summer option!

K time to stop procrastinating on work. Love this pillow!!

I am not pregnant, But this pillow was suggested to me by a friend when I was saying my regular pillows was causing some sleeping problems. I reluctantly bought it. I mean the price was cool, and hey, if it wasn't good i could use it for something else right? Right. I went on YouTube to see the ways to use it and was impressed with the versatility of the pillow. When i got it, the first night we had a fight right away. I had trouble putting the case on. Once I won the fight it was all good. I let it fluff up then i fluffed it myself. then I tried it out. I was comfy.. It took a few tris the first night. I was afraid if i moved off the bed i'd take this with me and trip over it. We have gotten to be good friends since then. I got it on Dec. 20. It is so comfortable. I take all the pillows off my couch and throw two pillows under the head part and it's like being snuggled. Its wonderful. I use it in a chair rolled u like a donut, and i also use it if i want to make more of a head board in the bed watching tv. I really love it! It helps with back support, it could be a little better on that, but i mean, once you learn how to use it the way you want, it's all good.

I love this pillow. My only regret is that I didn’t get it sooner! 3 months into my first pregnancy I started to have trouble sleeping - mostly with falling asleep. I was always a stomach sleeper (which was no longer an option), and I could not get comfortable sleeping on my side, no matter how many extra pillows I piled around me. After researching way too many body pillows, I decided on this one. I ordered it around the start of trimester 2, and used it LITERALLY every night until the day I gave birth. It was such a godsend. I typically used it in the position pictured here, with the long part behind me and one end at my head and the other by my stomach. I’m used to sleeping with two pillows so I put one on top of this pillow and the my head on top of that. As my belly got larger, I would wedge the other end up my belly to give it a little more support.

The pillow does have a pillowcase that is washable. It was easy to take off to wash, and though the pillowcase fits snugly over the pillow, I didn’t find it overly challenging to put back on.

The pillow is large, but I didn’t find it to take up too much space on the bed. My husband and I definitely aren’t tiny people, and we were both able to sleep comfortably in our queen sized bed with this pillow wrapped around me. (And least I think he was comfortable, though I don’t think he would have complained if he were).

The only drawback is the size now that I’m no longer using it, as it does take up a lot of storage space. It is, however, worth it, as the moment I find out I am pregnant again, this guy is going right back on my bed!
