We purchased these for an outdoor playset we built for our daughter. This set came with more than enough pieces for the small rock wall we had planned, but we added lots of pieces anyway so that two kids might be able to climb together. It was definitely nice to have the extra pieces.
Like other reviews said, this doesn’t come with any instructions, but my husband is handy and was able to determine how to properly install them. We did sometimes have trouble with the threading on a couple of the bolts, so that was annoying. We were lucky he had a drill bit to match the bolts included because this would have been much more difficult to do with the little handheld tool included.
Overall, the pieces seem sturdy and the box came with all of the hardware advertised. Our 6 y/o climbs it with ease (although these pieces are certainly too small for adults, just in case you were wondering) and really enjoys the option of climbing the rocks or using the rope.

Overall, I think this is a great choice for a small homemade climbing wall or something for climbing in the backyard for kids. The quality is really good and with a valuable price. I really recommend it and I will definitely buy it again if I need make my climbing wall bigger.

I bought this so I could make a 'rock climbing wall' for my daughter. I was able to make an 8 foot wall by about 3 foot wide with a few spares. My daughter is almost 3 (and part monkey) but she has no problem climbing up the wall. I used three 2x3s as bracing and then fence boards as the face. You have to drill holes for the mounting hardware but they are very strong. I climbed up myself after installing to test strength (I'm about 180lbs).

Definitely a good buy.
