Update after ~2years: I have been using this pretty heavily. I use it to brew pour over coffee at home a couple of cups a day and this has been working great, pretty fast in heating up and accurate T read. I did not run into any issues with this kettle. highly recommended.
I bought this kettle last week and there was issues with keep warming option and temperature control. After my review here, I was contacted by seller and they send me a new set. This one works much better, it keeps hot water warm for extended period of time and also temperature control is acceptable. Aesthetically, this device looks great in kitchen or office. Regarding price, This is much cheaper compared to similar kettles with variable temp. Very good customer service as well. Thanks.

Who knew boiling water was a science... really.... who knew??
Surprisingly accurate temperature.... disappointingly slow to reach temp.We tested this out to see how accurate the display temperature was to the actual water temp... it was consistently within about 1 degree the whole time.The whole purpose of me buying this unit though.. was because my other kettle seems to have started taking longer and longer to reach temperature which made myself and my employees irritated... because we are impatient people.Sadly... my old... slowly dying kettle... outperforms this one every time. Actually, I could probably bring to boil TWO pots using my old kettle, by the time this one can do one. We set both kettles side by side and took temperatures of each while waiting for one to outperform the other. During my test, we made sure to fill both kettles with equal amounts of water from the same source.It’s rather annoying how long this actually takes. The thermostat keeps bringing it to a roll, then cuts out for a few seconds... clicks back on and brings the water to a roll, temperature rises slightly... then clicks back off. This process repeats over and over again until the set temperature is reached... which takes forever because of this slow and arduous process which I like to think is, “Babying the Boil”.Maybe water is temperamental?... As if someone found out that you can’t heat up water too quickly or else it gets angry? Maybe if water is heat up to quickly... it brings joy to people... and that could become a bad thing since then there would be no reason for sadness in the world and somehow that’s not good. Whatever the reason... it’s extremely annoying because I can’t return the product, since I only started using it after my return window had closed.Damn myself for being so patient to open my new useless electric kettle!

I got so excited about electric gooseneck kettle... and its reasonable price... little did i know, after using three times?? as you can see it in my picture, the handle from the lid broke off. Now I cannot even remove the lid... It is too weak to resist the temperature and the pulling motion... so disappointed I WON'T RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE
