Update - Company responded fast and sent a replacement!
UPDATE:Quickly after I posted my last update where the heating pad broke, the company reached out to me, apologized, and sent me a new one. I waited awhile to post an update to see if it would last, so far it is doing well. I am approaching the 4 month mark I another month or so (this is where the last one failed me) so we will see if this lasts longer! I did bring my rating up to 4 stars due to the company’s quick response and resolution. I do appreciate it!—————————I left my old review below as initially I was pretty pleased with this heating pad. It was replacing one that I had for a few years that gave out with age.This one, sadly, after only 4 months of light/moderate use, gave out on me. The sewing came undone and when I took it out of the microwave thousands of beads fell into my hand burning it (nothing too serious, but was like touching a hot pan) and all over the floor. Instead of getting relief for my neck pain, my hand was now hurting and I had to vacuum and sweep the floors to get the beads up (see pic of beads coming out of sewn part and all over my sink).This should have lasted longer than four months. I thought the quality was good, but sadly I was mistaken :(——-Old Review———-As someone who suffers from chronic neck pain, I use a hot of constantly. My old trusty friend finally gave out on me, it's contents spilled everywhere, and I was forced to find its successor.After doing a bit of researching, I finally settled on the Hungaroo. It came earlier today, and as I write this, I am actually using it as my neck is a bit sore.PROS: the material is very soft and thick. It feels like it will last longer than my previous one, and even at hot temperatures, the thickness of the cloth appears to not feel as hot/burning as my other one did.I love the neck flaps as it helps to provide heat to an area that I need.AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: the beads in the neck flaps seem to settle to the bottom very easily. More chambers at different heights would keep the heads up more, targeting more of the neck.The scent isn't overpowering (which I appreciate) but it could be a touch more. It smells nice coming out of the microwave, but it is Barry noticeable when the wrap is on.Perhaps shoulder flaps coming down from the pad could be added in later models to also provide more heat to shoulder area on back.Finally, which I know is an issue with all of these pads and many factors play into it, but the "good heat" only seems to have a potency of about 10 mins. I wish it would last a bit longer.OVERALL: Overall, I do like this hot pad, I would love to see the improvements suggested in later versions. The pad is of high quality, gives good heat, and has the neck flaps which I appreciate!

I’ve owned so many microwaveable warming packs that I’ve lost count. This one is pretty good overall. The cover has a minky-soft feel. The length is perfect for my upper back. I have a long torso and other pads haven’t been this long in the back. Thankful for the extra inches there!
The scent is not strong to me. It’s not overwhelming at all—but then again, I like aroma therapy.
2 things I would change are:
1. The neck collar to be higher to cover my neck up to the base of my skull.
2. The Velcro-style fastener to be adjustable. My shoulders are narrow and I would prefer the pad to cover the entire area on the top of my shoulders. When I attach the tabs, the pad becomes too wide for my frame. The fastener is too weak to withstand the pad’s weight and it slides off of my shoulders. To correct this I have to pull it around my neck and cross the front panels to keep it on. Not a big deal, but considering I purchased this item specifically for the tab closure to keep the pack on, it’s disappointing.
If I were to rate the overall size, I would say it is for a larger person. I am 5’7” 134 pounds and wear a size small (4-6) women’s shirt. It would be excellent if the designers could creat a smaller version for thin-framed people. My husband is 6’ and 180 with broad shoulders. This fits him how I would like (and wish) it fit me.
The sewn-together sections make heat distribution nice.
Overall, I’d probably purchase again, but might rather opt for a copy-cat version that is cheaper in price.

This is the best! It was the only one I could find that went up high enough around the neck, over the shoulders, and low enough in the front and back to cover the muscles of the shoulder blades & around the shoulder with also having the horizontal seams to hold the beads in place and not allow them to all sink to the very bottom of the fabric while wearing it. The seams do a great job of holding the beads so that they stay around the neck, on top of the shoulders, and line the back & chest all the way down. It covers a substantial area and holds the heat very well. The material is very soft, plush, and comfortable to wear. You can feel the damp warmth when it comes out of the microwave and it stays warm for a very long time. I love the little velcro tab in the front to hold it together so it doesn't shift or slip when I move around. It really provided great pain relief for me in my neck and shoulder. I was in a lot of discomfort before i started using this and now my neck & shoulder have loosened up dramatically...it feels great and works well! I highly recommend. I researched A LOT of these and this is the only one that had all the features I needed. Beware of the vertically seamed type because all the beads fall to the bottom and your left with no beads around your neck or shoulders, only at the very bottom of the fabric - those are pointless! This is the only smart version!
