I've been using this brand for a while (actually for other filtering devices, too). They cost less and seem to filter just as well as the more expensive Honeywell filters. These also seem to fit better than the honeywell. They're very snug, and they don't bend in certain places like the honeywell ones. I'd recommend that after you take out the old filters, run a slightly damp cloth around the rubber seal on the inside of each filter recess, just to clean out any fine dust that may have accumulated. Obviously, let that dry before putting the new filters in.
The only down side to the Veva pack is that the pre-filters are maybe a few mm too short (I'd love if Veva could account for this and make the adjustment), so some of the main filters (white) remain exposed. Since the prefilters come folded in half (honeywell does this too) I lie them on top of each other, with the creases facing opposite directions, but the overall filters lying in the same direction ---long ends all together. Then I put them in one of those vacuum clothing bags along with a desiccant pack to absorb any moisture. I do not vacuum the bag otherwise the filters could deform or get compressed to an even smaller size! I just gently press it down to get most of the air out, but not crush the filters. Eventually the pre-filters mostly flatten out. Sometimes I'll use a slight bit of foam insulating tape under the prefilter to account for the slight shortness.
Again, these seem just as good as the Honeywell filters, but not as expensive. They might even work better than the Honeywell filters, though I can't scientifically prove that! But based on personal experience, my allergies seem just as well controlled with either brand. So what makes sense then? Paying more for the same thing??
