I am a long-time kava user. When I am buzzing from my coffee in the morning I find that a few of these kavas take my anxiety down a notch and enable me to focus for a long time on my work. If you like the warm fuzzy feeling you get from drinking the real thing, then you will enjoy this kava's warm fuzzies. It reminds me of the now-discontinued Source Naturals kava tablets, which had a bit higher percent of kavalactones in the capsules. Kava works as an adaptogen in me--if I am sleepy and need to wind down, it does that. If I need to focus, it does that. If I want a pleasant buzz while out with friends, it does that. I NEVER drink alcohol when I take kava. Alcohol and kava do not mix. Compared to Gaia Kava or Pharma Kava, the two other brands I used to use until discovering this one, this brand is a much better price per kavalactone.

Pointless. Literally no effect. My girlfriend and I took a total of 15 pills each between 3pm and 6pm and could not get even a slight effect from them.
Idk if we got a bad batch, but I'm willing to bet if I had these tested, it would show up not as kava. And even though it says returnable, Amazon won't let me return it.
Needless to say, avoiding this brand forever

I have a hard time falling asleep at night, it takes hours. Read about Kava, tried the liquid version and it tastes horrible. bought this brand off the positive reviews. I took 5 Kava pills and sometimes also took Valerian root capsules as well. I was able to fall asleep much quicker and stay asleep. I have young kids so I can not be groggy in the morning, I woke up just fine.

the only negative thing I can say is that after taking Kava I began talking in my sleep (well more like cursing my ass off). I never had before. Apparently my sleep talking is more like having a one sided yelling match around 5am. I have no memory of this so my husband recorded me. embarrassing but funny. sleep talking became such a problem that I stopped taking Kava and with in a night or 2 it stopped.

I like this stuff is a lot. I did research on Kava, the brand itself and claimed medicinal efficacy. Of all the reviews, the brand Natures Answer, came up often from reputable sources that I deemed were knowledgeable, non-radical with low or no conflict of interest The best resources on the efficacy of Kava I believed to be the German government Commission E. It's best said by the following:

"Contemporary Pacific and Western perspectives on `awa (Piper methysticum) toxicology".
On June 10, 2014, the German Administrative Court overturned the 2002 ban reinstating the regulatory requirements of 2001. The court stated that risk from kava exposure had not been clearly demonstrated, nor does it appear unusually high, an opinion presumably driven by the very small number of cases of reported toxicity (n ~ 3) with even a certain degree of causality linked to kava in a global kava-consuming community that may number in the millions of doses consumed daily.

I'm used to drinking micronized kava from Kalm, which recommends a dose of 5g of powder. Assuming the powder only has 10% kavalactones, that'd still be a dose of 500mg. I'd have to take five pills at once for a similar result, which would mean this bottle is less than 20 doses based on dedicated kava sites. I'm not sure the two are comparable because different strains have different balances and the strain is not listed on these pills.

I don't dislike the product, it's great for avoiding the flavor of kava, but I'd rather deal with muddy tasting tea for cheaper, more effective results.
